The electrical control panel must be capable of receiving input signals from detectors and, based on predefined scenarios, issuing appropriate commands to alarm systems, inlet and outlet dampers, and fans.
In the design phase, various pollutant and fire scenarios must first be defined. Determining the current status should be based on processing input data received from sensors. Once the control panel analyzes the incoming information, it sends the appropriate commands to other components to respond effectively according to the predefined scenarios.
For example, upon detecting a fire on a specific floor (as one possible scenario), the alarm system is immediately activated. All dampers must be positioned to prevent smoke from migrating from the affected floor to other levels. At the same time, exhaust and supply fans are set to maximum speed to extract smoke and introduce fresh air. The jet fan system is then activated after a predetermined delay—allowing building occupants sufficient time to evacuate safely.
